Overview
txdrain (https://txdrain.dev) is a personal developer portfolio operated by EEQ21. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Data we collect
- Contact form: name, email, and message you submit voluntarily.
- Analytics (optional): page path, coarse country (from IP), browser/OS/device type, referer, and an anonymous visitor ID cookie (
txdrain_vid) if you accept analytics cookies. - Security: CSRF token cookie, rate limiting metadata, and server logs (IP, user agent) for abuse prevention.
- Admin: GitHub OAuth session for the private dashboard at /admin (not public).
Cookies
txdrain_csrf— essential, protects forms and APIs from cross-site request forgery.portfolio_admin— admin session only when you sign in to /admin.txdrain_vid— analytics only, set after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner.- Local storage
txdrain_cookie_consentstores your cookie preference.
Bots & datacenter traffic
We do not record analytics for obvious automated clients or IP addresses with hosting-provider reverse DNS. This reduces skew from crawlers and datacenter probes.
Retention
Analytics events are stored on the server in a rotating log file (size-capped). Contact messages are processed in-app; configure email delivery via environment variables when enabled.
Your rights
You can refuse analytics cookies via the banner or by choosing “Essential only.” To request deletion of contact or analytics data, email contact@txdrain.dev.
Third parties
Public GitHub profile and repository data are fetched from GitHub’s API. GitHub’s privacy policy applies to that data. We do not sell personal information.
